Below is a list of some events happening in London now and coming up in the near future. 

HAMMER HORROR FESTIVAL (27^th Oct – 15^th Nov) 

This festival is based around the famous Hammer horror film company and will include events such as film screenings, ghost tours, art works and a ‘spooky’ fashion show.  The festival kicks off on 27^th October and will run until 15^th November. It will be held at the Idea Generation Gallery and tickets are available at www.ideageneration.co.uk  

LONDON TO BRIGHTON VETERAN CAR RALLY (31 Oct – 1^st Nov) 

More than 500 cars are expected to start this fun race which starts at dawn on Regent Street.  This is the 113^th race and is the longest running motor event in the world. For more information visit www.lbvcr.com 

FREESPORTS ON 4 FREEZE (30^th Oct – 1 Nov) 

This event is truly an adrenalin junkie’s paradise.  During this weekend the venue (Battersea Power Station) will be transformed into a real life ski resort and the world’s best skiers and snowboarders will take part in competitions, events and shows. MPH 2009 WITH TOP GEAR LIVE (5^th – 8^th Nov) 

Top gear goes live at Earls Court as Jeremy Clarkson hosts a 75 minute show at the MPH festival.  Alongside Top Gear the MPH show will be showcasing some of the world’s most expensive, stylish and futuristic cars around.  There will be gadgets and games and a chance to get interactive with some of the exhibits on show. MASTERCHEF LIVE (13^th – 15^th Nov) 

This show was formally known as the BBC Good Food Show.  There are lots of food related activities to get your teeth into such as master classes with top chefs, Masterchef vs Masterchef, demonstrations and the Masterchef restaurant.  The event will be held at London’s Olympia and for further information visit www.londonbbcgoodfoodshow.com 

THE WINE SHOW (22^nd – 25^th Oct) 

This event is for wine lovers everywhere.  During the show you can meet wine experts, celebrities, sample some wines and take part in a wine walk.  The show will be held at the Business Design Centre.  For more information visit www.wineshow.co.uk  

CROMWELL’S BLOODY BANNED CHRISTMAS (5^th December – 27^th December) 

This Christmas the London dungeon goes back in time to 1647 when Oliver Cromwell banned Christmas. Prepare to be spooked as you venture deep into the dungeons and witness the punishments carried out for eating mince pies, hanging holly or singing carols.  This really is a scary, fun and thrilling day out for all the family. BRITISH MUSIC EXPERIENCE (Just opened) 

A brand new interactive museum exploring the British music culture has just opened at the O2 in London.  At the experience you can have a go at recording songs, dance and videos, flick through virtual record collections and even perform a virtual concert.  Kids can get in free during half term which makes it even better! CRYSTAL PALACE FIREWORKS DISPLAY (5^th November) 

Why not celebrate the 5^th November with one of the biggest fireworks displays that London has to offer?  At the famous football ground the gates are opening at 5pm ready for the first display at 7pm.  Stay put though because this is just a warm up. SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS FAIR (4^th – 8^th Nov)
