Weather in London

The British weather is renowned throughout the world for being very interchangeable & unpredictable, rain is quite frequent so it's a good idea to carry an umbrella or coat with you when you are out & about.

London has a generally mild and temperate climate, with rain a possibility throughout the year, but generally rain in London is relatively light. The hottest months of the year are July and August, which are popular times to visit, but you should bear in mind that London is not a city equipped for serious heat, and there is not much air conditioning around.

Perhaps the best time of year to visit is in the spring, with the Royal Parks particularly beautiful and the weather generally cool and pleasant. Winter in London can be bitterly cold, especially in January, but there is nice feel to the city in December as Christmas approaches.
